When I asked Nathan what he wanted to make for his baby brother. He told me a "tickle blanket" that is what he calls he fleece blanket with the ends tied. So Nathan picked out this material and helped me cut it. He was so excited and so proud of his tickle blanket. He also thought the baby needed two because he has two tickle blankets.

I think Nathan had more fun at this ward party than anything we did this summer. We loved the firetruck. They were able to ride the firetruck twice. Nathan did not want to get off. In his prayers he still blesses the firetruck and the ponies everyday. It was so fun to see him so excited.

Paint Ball Madness/ Fun in the Sun!

Andrew is not just flexing in this picture he is showing off his battle wounds from his paint ball adventure. Yes he got hit in the head and it was bleeding. Yes he was wearing his helmet and protective eye wear, but it doesn't cover that part of your head. He swears that it was awesome and he would do it again in a heartbeat. (I don't think that would be fun, but who know!)

Instead of getting hit by small painful objects my friend Melissa and I played on the water slide with the boys. Melissa's son Josh her nephews Parker and Landon and Nathan were so cute playing together and eating their Popsicles

More Parade fun in Enterprise! Nathan kept waiting for the trackers, horses, & Fire trucks and this parade definitely didn't dissappoint
We got to be with Andrew's mom and Allison and Adele and Alex, Adrianne, and of course Grandma and Grandpa Evans. Andrew and Hannah ran the 5k and Adrianne ran the 10k and took 2nd place. Andrew and I both ran the 5k on the 4th, but I didn't run this one I was a little bit too tired.
The best part about Enterprise besides Grandma and Grandpa Evans are the horses and cows. Nathan was in heaven! The only thing he still wanted though was to ride the cow!? I don't know but for some reason he really wanted to ride the cows. Maybe he'll be a bullrider one day. Hopefully not!

Nathan had so much fun singing happy birthday to daddy, and blowing out the candles.

We got to watch my niece Lily a couple of nights while my sister was in class. Nathan loves Lily. she is such a sweet little girl.
Nathan and his buddy Ruger. They have so much fun together. We sure miss them, but it is fun to see them when we come to Utah. We got to go see Toy Story 3 with Ruger, Nathan and Ruger love Buzz Lightyear.

We had so much fun on the 4th of July. Richfield has one of the best 4th celebrations (I think so anyway). Nathan loved the parade. He still talks about it and all month he asked when we would get to go the parade again and see the trackers and firetrucks again. He also loved getting all of the candy. Good thing that the 24th celebration has a parade too. My dad drove his car in the parade. He drove the Grand Marshal Woody Farnsworth in the parade.

July 3rd

On July 3rd there is a children's parade and activities at the park. Nathan was so excited to ride the mechanical bull and play with his cousins Lily Bella and Kamrie. We also went to the Joseph city celebration. Andrew, Kelly, Richard, and Kayson entered the arm wrestling competition. Andrew got a 2nd place shirt.

Gala Performance! El Monte Sagrado

Our final Taos performance was in this beautiful fancy hotel in Taos where Oprah stays on her visits to Taos. We did a bunch of Opera Scenes. We had a large crowd. They had to bring in extra chairs twice to accommodate the people. It was fun to dress up and sing in such a beautiful place.

William's Lake Hike

The last Friday we were there we hiked to William's Lake, Taos ski valley's elevation is 9,000 feet and Williams Lake is 12,000 feet. Andrew and others are standing on the top of that huge boulder. They hiked up the back. I felt like just watching.
This one is zoomed into the picture.
It was very beautiful up there. The view made the constant uphill climb worth it. You can still see snow in the mountains and this is June!

Rio Grande Gorge

The lookout on the Rio Grande Gorge was gorgeous! It was a short drive from the city!
Andrew was also able to go white water rafting down the gorge the the men of Taos. The girls got to go to Ojo Caliente hot springs. That was pretty fun too.

Taos week three

My mom and Cathy came to visit and see us perform the third weekend we were in Taos. It was so fun to see them and have them come and visit but it was way too short. That week we performed at a church and Taos and an outdoor park where we scared away the hippies that were hanging out in the park with all of our opera singing.

I sang "What good would the moon be?" from Street scene.
Andrew sang Onegin's aria from Eugene Onegin in Russian.

There were quite a few people who came to Taos from ASU. Andrew, me, Heidi, Kelly, Christine, Joel, Sarah, Karen, & Bora. It was fun to have so many friends there.
Nathan celebrated his third birthday four times. He thought it should be his birthday everyday. Andrew's sister Adrianne was nice enough to come with us and watch Nathan while we were in rehearsals. They only stayed for two weeks so Nathan was not with us on his birthday so we celebrated it before they left. All of our ASU friends came to share in the fun.
He got a cool hat and a McQueen football also a buzz lightyear chair and bowling game.
He got way too many presents. I can't believe how fast the time has gone. My little baby Nathan is growing up way too fast. We sure do love him!
It took some getting used to, for Nathan to say that he is three and not two. We worked on two for so long but he got the hang of it. He loves blowing out the candles and singing Happy Birthday.

Taos Opera Institute

Andrew and I had the opportunity to go to Taos New Mexico for 4 weeks in June. We had to audition and be accepted into the program. We worked on four aria or songs from operas in four different languages. French, Italian, German, (or Russian) and English. Andrew and I with Linda Poetsche the Program director.
Mary Jane Johnson is the artistic director of the program. During the week we had lessons and coachings with teaches from Chicago, ASU, Texas, and New York. It was great to work with so many different people and to meet so many different people.
We feel like we learned so much and grew a lot while we were there. It was a great opportunity to focus just on singing and performing and to not have to worry about too much else.
We performed at different venues every weekend on Fridays and Saturdays. These pictures are in Rhoda's a restaurant a busy place in the winter while all of the skiers are there but a somewhat slower place in the summer.
This is a view from our condo ( and Nathan) in the Taos ski valley. It was so beautiful and peaceful to be in the mountains in the summertime. It was really interesting to see the ski lifts and runs without any snow. They look a lot scarier without the snow.

On our way down to Taos we decided to go through 4 corners because we had never been there. The museum was unfortunately under construction but we got to look at where the new site would be. It was still fun to go there and be in 4 states in a short period of time.

Nathan sometimes likes to fall asleep with his blanket on his head. He did this to himself we offered no assistance in placing the blanket.
We also drove through Moab and arches national park on the way down south.

Andrew's mom celebrated her 50th birthday and we were able to be there to surprise her with a special dinner at the Lion House in Salt Lake with Grandma & Grandpa Evans and most of her brothers and sisters.

Andrew and I graduated from ASU in May. We both graduated with Master's of Music Degrees in Voice Performance.

Mom, Dad, Lisa & Lily, Elizabeth, Claire & Callie all came to see us graduate. It was so fun to have them all come visit.

I was one of the wicked step sisters! I think my hair is pretty awesome!

My name was Tisbe and Andrew played Dandini. He was the prince's servant, but for most of the show he pretends to be the prince so the prince and see what the girls are really like.
Of course, Cinderella is nice to everyone and the sister are mean to the servant (who is actually the prince) and nice to the prince (who is actually the servant)
We had really great costumes and hair. It was such a fun show to be in.

My whole family was home for Christmas so it was the perfect opportunity for a family pictures.
It was an adventure! The littlest babies were the best behaved and smiled beautifully. It was the crazy older ones that didn't want to cooperate. We have eleven nieces and nephews one 6 year old, two 4 year olds, one 3 year old, one 2 year old, two 1 year olds, and four under the age of one. It was so fun to be with everyone for Christmas, but I little chaotic at times.

It was so fun this Christmas Everyone was home!

These are all my sisters and my mom and my brother. We all got red pajamas for Christmas! It is one of my favorite traditions that we have. We open pajamas on Christmas Eve!

We all went to my parents ward, and the ward I grew up in, Christmas Party. It was really fun to see a lot of familiar faces.

Most of my nieces and nephew were there too. Nathan loves his big boy cousins Richard and Kayson. Melissa took such good care of Nathan. He loved seeing Kamrie run around.

Nathan actually loved Santa this year! Because he knew he would get candy! Silly boy, he must be related to his mother.

Oquirrah Mountain Temple Open House

We were able to go to the Oquirrah Mountain Temple Open house with Melanie, Colt, Kayson and Kamrie. If you have never been to one it is a really amazing opportunity. You get to see what all of the rooms are like and the guides explain a little bit about what service we do in the temple.

Nathan and Kayson are best buddies. Their favorite part was the cookies!

This is my other beautiful niece that was born just two days after Lily. I got to see her 3 hours after she was born. These little babies are amazing and so sweet. Katelynn weighed 6 lbs 1 oz. It was kind of fun too to see how different the two babies looked right by each other. You wouldn't think 1 lbs would make a difference, but it is a lot when you are so little.

We were at Andrew's house for his birthday. Several of his high school friends were able to come up for his birthday. It was really fun. It was Andrew's 10 yr high school reunion this year. Man he is getting old. Richard and Collete, Kayla, Luke & Megan, Garrett, and Andrew and I. It was really funny that day because Megan and I dressed our son's in the same shirt. What can I say great minds think alike!

Swimming Lessons!

Nathan took swimming lessons for the first time this summer and he did so well. At first he didn't like it very much, but he got used to it and by the end he loved it even to the point that he made me nervous because he was so brave. At the end of each lesson they got to dive to the bottom to get the rings. That was Nathans' favorite part. Miss Elizabeth (his teacher, my friends' sister) would trade them the rings for a piece of licorice. The licorice is Nathan most favorite part.

Tombstone Arizona

For the 4th of July weekend we went to Thatcher with our friends the Davis'. We also went to Tombstone for the day. Andrew and I have never been so he was really excited about going. We are standing in front of the Bird Cage Theatre the most hoppin' spot in Tombstone back in the day.

Nathan had so much fun riding this pony after we saw a reenactment of the shot out at the OK coral.

We ate lunch at really cool restaurant that I can't remember the name of, but it was fun, and they had really cool stained glass murals all over.

I can't believe that Nathan is almost two. It is bittersweet. I can't believe my baby is not a baby anymore. He is so much fun to be with. We had his pictures taken this week and he was a little bit scared so we didn't get a really good smiling picture so I was a little disappointed but I thought they still turned out cute. We love him so much!

Memorial Day Family Reunion

We were able to go to Utah for Memorial Day weekend and spend the weekend in Fish Lake at our cabin. It was so fun to be with my whole family.

Nathan loved going in the water for boat rides and playing with his cousins, but he hated the life jacket.

Fond Farewell to Mesa Junior

When we started working on our master's degrees Andrew and I decided that he would only teach for the first year of his master's and then only go to school the second year because I was unable to take some of the classes needed while teaching so he said good bye to Mesa Junior High. He taught there for three years and loved it, so he is sad to go, but it is time to move on. They brought him a cake on the last day of school!

Prep choir. When Andrew started he had about 25 kids total in his choir program. This year he had over 60 kids and next year there will be about 75. He did such a great job with the kids and they loved him. He is going to miss them.

Father's and Sons & Ruger Buddy!

Andrew took Nathan to his first Father's and Son's outing! Nathan loved sleeping in the tent. Andrew left Nathan asleep to go help with breakfast and came back to check on him and found him peaking out of the tent. It was really cute.

They went on an hour hike up the moutain, hooray!

Nathan's buddy Ruger came to visit and he was so excited to see him. I was excited to see my friend Amy too. We miss them so much. They had so much fun together!

Nathan was so excited to have my mom and dad, Lisa, Josh, and Michael here for Easter. I loved it too. Today was a sad day not having anyone here. He loved his soccer ball and clothes and toys her got in his Easter Basket.

Josh and Nathan threw balls for hours! Nathan loves to look at a picture we have of Lisa and Josh and their dog Polo. He calls every dog we see Polo. Nathan loved Aunt Wisa (Lisa) she always had candies in her purse and he knew right where to look for them.

Michael came down with the choir he is in One Voice. Nathan was surprisingly good at their performances. When he saw Michael on stage an realized it was him he yelled Yichael (Michael in Nathan language) Nathan loved the singing and dancing and loved to clap along.

Nathan loved Lisa until she cut his hair and when she made him wear these adorable bunny ears, but he kind of got used to them enough that he let us takes some pictures. I think he looks cute, and he quickly forgave Lisa because she is so nice.

Michael didn't like the ears either!

Nathan loved looking for candy with Josh, but got nervous when I tried to have him put it in his basket. He kept yelling "mine, mine!" like I was going to take it from him and not give it back. He didn't understand that all of the candy was his. It was really funny.

One Voice choir did their spring tour in Mesa and I set up a lot of their performances while they were here. They went to Organ Stop pizza one day which a really fun restaurant that has a huge Wurlitzer Theater Organ inside. They serve pizza and do a show using all of the cool aspects of the organ. It was really fun.

We went to the Phoenix zoo on Saturday and it rained. I think it was one of the nicest times I have ever been to the zoo. It was fun because Nathan is starting to become more interested in the animals and pointing them out.

One of Nathan's favorite toys are balls. He loved the "lellow" ball Grandma and Papa brought him and the cute bunny and chick.

4 years together!

We celebrated our fourth anniversary this year! I can't believe it. I feel like we have been together for a long time, but then it doesn't seem that long either. Andrew took me to a Rascal Flatts concert on our anniversary. It was so fun!

Later that weekend we went to a Renaissance Festival held here is Arizona. It was an experience to say the least. There were a lot of people dressed in their renaissance attire having a grand time, but it left us wondering what they do the rest of the year? Oh well! It was fun....once.

Spring Break with Melanie and Colt- Nashville!

Andrew is a huge country music fan so when he found out we were going to Nashville he was ecstatic! He loved every second of it. We saw the Grand ole Opry stage and museum, and ate dinner at the Wild horse Saloon where Kayson and Melanie cut a rug.

We drove by the CMA headquarters building and Andrew wanted to go in. (He is such a nerd)
They let him take some pictures and see the actual CMA award.

We went to the Country Music Hall of Fame. Andrew is by Garth Brook's display and then he and Kayson and Nathan are posing like Tim McGraw.

Flat Richard (A project my nephew Richard's preschool does) came with us and posed in some of our pictures.

Spring Break with Melanie and Colt- Bat Museum

We went to the Louisville Slugger bat museum. Nathan and Kayson had the best time climbing on the bronze giant baseball glove.

While we were there we were able to see one of Andrew's mission companions, John Dixon, and his family. Colt is going to dental school in Louisville and so is John. Now Colt and John have become good friends. What a small world.

The first night we were there we went to the Bass Pro Shop (Colt's favorite) and Kayson showed Nathan how to shoot the guns.

My family has a tradition for going Christmas tree hunting the day after Thanksgiving. This was Nathans first experience. He refused to wear gloves and loved to look at the snow but hated it when it touched his hands

These are Nathan's friends Mckay and Gibson. Their mom watches Nathan for me while I am at school. Nathan is right in the middle of the two. Mckay is 9 months older than Nathan and Gibson is 7 months younger than Nathan. He will be in school with Mckay, but primary with Gibson. They had so much fun at the pumpkin patch together.

Nathan loves to crawl under the stools and sit there. He thinks it is great! I love his little smile!
This is Nathan's friend Ruger. Ruger's mom is nice enough to watch Nathan for me while I am at school. That are great buddies though. They scream and get really excited when they see each other. They both love their cars PJ's.

The park is their favorite place to play. Ruger is a little bit braver than Nathan.
I know this picture looks a little funny. It makes me laugh everytime I look at it. He loves to put his toys in his mouth and he thinks he is so funny because we laugh at him when he does it.

Happy Halloween! I am not sure why this took me so long, but life just kind of got crazy and now it is almost Thanksgiving. Nathan was the cutest Tigger ever! He hated the head. I had to bribe him with candy to leave it on so I could take some pictures. Andrew was Albert Einstein and I was...... well a secretary! Haha. I love craving pumpkins this is my favorite way to crave a pumpkin with the stary eyes. We went to a pumpkin patch to pick out pumpkins Nathan love all of the pumpkins!

School Days

I can't believe how long it has been since I did a post. Life has been a little crazy. Andrew and I both started work on our Master's Degrees at ASU. I am excited, but it has taken a little getting used to especially leaving Nathan. I am only gone 3-4 hours a day, but it is still hard. He is doing well and loves playing with his friends. It is so weird to be back in student mode, I feel a little old, but I really like my classes and I am excited to get better at what I do.

Nathan's latest trick is opening the DVD cases he finally got one out and broke it, so we moved all of our DVD's into the closest where he can't get them anymore. He is so crazy. He loves to cross his feet when he sits down. It make me laugh and I think it is pretty cute.

Happy 4th Nathan is enjoying candy caught at the parade!
All of the grandkids together! My whole family was together for the 4th (except for poor Colt who didn't get a break from dental school. We missed you!) They were having so much fun with the flags!
This is my nephew Kayson! There was a children's parade on the 3rd, so we took Nathan and Kayson in the parade. Kayson walked for half a block and then said he was tired so we put him the wagon about 2 minutes later he was asleep! I thought this was pretty cute.
Family fun on the 4th! Nathan was in the diaper derby on the 3rd and he got 3rd place! He won a $50 savings bond. He was so cute!

We went to Elizabeth and Nathan's Kling's wedding in Yosemite National Park. They are our friends from Italy. We were able to spend a couple of days there for the wedding. It was so beautiful.

Nathan loves Michael. He loved having a boy around with all of these girls. Michael makes Nathan laugh really hard and smile a lot!
Michael, our not so little brother anymore. He is now taller than all of us.
Bella is so sweet and pretty. It is so fun to hold a tiny baby again. Nathan is getting so big.
My nephew Richard, (on the left) is very protective of his new baby sister. He told me I couldn't look at her or touch her when he was watching her.

Annika was so sweet with Nathan. She loved to play with him and give him toys and play with my sisters dog. They would have screaming matches at each other, in pure joy of course, but they both have excellent pipes!

So I didn't do this to him, my sister did, but it was still pretty funny. The look on his face is perfect though, like he is saying "Mom, did you really just put a pink ring, earrings, and necklace on me." We sure enjoyed it!

This is Nathan's friend Mikey. They are both so crazy! They are only about a month apart. They have so much fun playing together. They are both very interested in the stairs, but neither of them are very good at getting down yet. It sure is fun to go up though!
I go running with Mikey's mom Tara everyday, and Mikey and Nathan love to see each other. Mikey loves to share his cereal and treats with Nathan, and of course, Nathan will eat anything

Conquer the Mountian or the Mountian Conquered You?

So Last Saturday I went on a hike with some of my friends. It was a pretty good hike, but nothing too difficult. Well the people I was with decided to jog back down the mountain so I followed. I went really slow on the steep parts and tried to catch up on the flat parts. I was near the bottom when I thought to myself, "Man I am so glad I haven't fallen......" Wham! I went skidding across the rugged terrain. Now most of you that know me know that I am a cry baby, but I didn't cry, I just almost threw up when I was cleaning it out. It was pretty deep. Andrew thought I was really tough! Just kidding. It is doing a lot better now, but you don't realize how much you use your knee until you can't do it anymore.

ASU Here we come!

Andrew and Kristin both got accepted to ASU to get Master's in Voice Performance. Heavenly Father has blessed us so much. We also both got scholarships that will cover tuition. We thank Heavenly Father everyday for blessing us so much that we will both be able to further our education and careers. It is hard to think about going back to school again, even though it has only been a little over a year. It is just a different feeling again. We are excited and nervous.

My Mom and Dad and Michael came to visit us for Easter. We went to the Dodgers vs. Angels spring training game and went swimming in the cold pool. Nathan loved the water. He loved the easter eggs and the grass in the easter basket. He is getting so big so fast. He just started crawling so his poor little knees are raw. He loves to follow me around and explore the tile and the carpet. He is such a sweet baby.

Andrew and I have been married for 3 years! Andrew had a week off for spring break so we went to Utah for a few days. We got to see Ben and Allison, Adele & Alexander for the the first time. We loved being able to spend time with them. Nathan loved all of the attention from Hannah, Ian, and Adrianne. Not to mention Grandma and Grandma.

Ok, so this might look like and ordinary sleeping baby picture, but it was actually very cute. I was working on the computer and Nathan was playing on the floor. He was quiet and I looked over at him and he laid his head down on my blanket and fallen asleep. He usually fights going to sleep which is why I thought it was so cute that he was so tired he put himself down for a nap!

Andrew had a choral convention in California at the end of Feb. so Nathan and I tagged along. We stayed with Ben, Dori, Emma, & Brooklyn. They were so nice, they let us invade their house. We have so much fun with them. Emma & Brookie were so cute with Nathan he loved all of the attention. We were so sad to leave. We went to Disneyland, the beach, and the zoo. Nathan love the BuzzLightyear ride, Andrew loved Indiana Jones, and my favorite is still Pirates! Nathan rode on a swing for the first time, he was a little scared at first, but then he laughed and laughed. It was a great weekend.

This is our new house! We love it! We are having fun painting, decorating, and unpacking. Nathan fits perfectly underneath the cupboards. He likes to help me cook. I never leave him there though, because he is way too wiggly!

Richard, Nathan, & Kayson all got the same pajamas for Christmas. I think they look adorable.

Here is our annual picture in our pajamas. All of the girls got pajamas and the boys got pajama pants. It looks like in the this picture the babies are better behaved than the big boys.

We were trying to get a picture of all of the cousins. I'm not sure we ever got a good one, but it was a fun adventure. Nathan loved being with Melissa, Richard, Kayson, & Annika. Nathan was just learning how to sit up, so he kept toppling over. It was pretty funny.

Christmas Time!

Nathan got to sit on Santa's lap for the first time at the Richfield 5th Ward Christmas party. He was very happy as you can see. It was so fun to be back in Richfield for Christmas. We got to see lots of friends and family while we were there. A bunch of my friends all had babies this summer and it was so fun to see all of them. Elizabeth and Annika, Me and Nathan, Cari and Eden, and Courtney and Hudson were all at the ward Christmas party.

We went to Grandma & Grandpa Evans house for Thanksgiving. Andrew loved being on the ranch and Nathan got to see the horses and cows for the first time.

Long Time No Post

So it has been a very long time since we have made a post. So much has happened in the last couple of months. Lots of holidays, trips to see family, and the thing that has kept us the most busy is our new house.
